CEITEC
Central European Institute of Technology
CEITEC is an excellent research centre which was established by six institutions. In a nutshell we connect live nature with technical sciences. At BUT we are focused on two main areas: nano/microtechnologies and advanced materials.

IT4Innovations
National Supercomputer Centre
IT technologies are one of the fastest developing areas. To keep up with this trend we have built (together with four other institutions) supercomputer centre. Our mission is to deliver scientifically excellent and industry relevant research in the fields of high performance computing and embedded systems.

NETME Centre
New Technologies for Mechanical Engineering
Our mission in NETME is to contribute to modernisation of mechanical engineering with our research activities. Main focus is on automotive engineering, aerospace engineering, energy and resources and finally engineering technologies. We have built a workspace strojLAB, where our students can use devices such as 3D printer, cutting plotters, Kuka robots, various tools for electrical engineering and much more.

CVVOZE Centre
Centre for Research and Utilization of Renewable Energy
Energy is the main focus of our activities. We thrive to find new possibilities of using renewable energy sources and utilize them not only in energetics, but also in industrial production and transport. We have two special PowerLab laboratories – High Voltage Laboratory and High Current Laboratory. We use them for our own experiments and also to perform various testing for commercial sphere.

SIX Centre
Centre for Sensor, Information and Communication Systems
Smart technologies are on the rise and our scientists help to develop them in many different areas. As an example we can mention speech analysis for timely diagnosis of nervous diseases, intelligent control of traffic, reducing the danger of terroristic attacks or supporting the life quality of aging population.
