Save food! Event at KUMST Brno will advise how to deal with food waste

Brno University of Technology invites you to a lecture by the Save Food initiative, taking place on Monday, February 24, at 4:00 PM at KUMST Brno on Údolní Street. Visitors will learn, for example, what happens to food that ends up in the trash and how this issue impacts the planet and everyday life. The event is open to the general public.

The lecture will offer practical tips on reducing food waste, as well as new and inspiring insights from Veronika Mejkalová of the Save Food (Czech language) initiative.

This event is part of a research project by TA CR, focused on reducing food waste among Generation Z.

The venue rental is funded by the NPO project: Acceleration of Green Skills and Sustainability at BUT.

Thanks to this project, from the beginning of 2025, BUT has a new comprehensive strategy not only for the sustainability of daily operations but also for long-term planning and development. Alongside this, the project has supported the creation of a university tool for calculating the carbon footprint.
