Kateřina Kiliánová from FSI BUT selected for Graduation Projects 2024 with the Design of a Mobile X-ray. | Autor: Graduation Projects 2024 archiveThe award-winning design of Kateřina Kiliánová's mobile X-ray responds to insights gained from design, technical, and especially user analysis. The focus is on the compact integration of the mobile X-ray body and the flexible arm. The design is harmonious and minimalist. Compared to competitors, it stands out with a new type of flexible arm, ample storage space, and above all, innovations related to the device's power supply. The greatest contribution is an innovative ergonomic approach that addresses issues associated with the device's everyday use. Thanks to the mobile X-ray, it is possible to take X-ray images directly at the patient's bedside, which is convenient for both the patient and the medical staff. This eliminates the need for complex transfers of monitored patients to the central radiodiagnostic unit and waiting for examinations among outpatients.Graduation Projects presents a selection of the best graduate projects. Initially, the exhibition was intended only for Polish graduates. Since 2009/2010, it has gradually opened to other countries of the Visegrád Group (Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary). The selection includes a wide range of graphic and industrial design, including textile, clothing, furniture, and ceramics designs. The works were evaluated by an international jury in two categories: 2D and 3D, graphic design, and industrial design.
Kateřina Kiliánová's thesis succeeded among 379 other projects. The winners include graduates from Gdańsk, Budapest, Brno, Ústí nad Labem, Poznań, Košice, Žilina, Warsaw, Prague, Kraków, Katowice, Bratislava, Zvolen, Liberec, and Wrocław. The best theses will be on display at the Polish Cieszyn Castle from March 7 to April 27.
