Brno University of Technology (BUT) will once again come alive in September not only with teaching, but also with sports. The first week of the new academic year will be packed with tournaments, races, competitions, and above all, fun. A varied programme of sports activities for BUT students and staff is traditionally prepared by the Centre of Sports Activities (CESA BUT). Whether you are an enthusiastic athlete, a recreational player, or just want to try something new, there’s something for everyone.
Mark your calendars. From 15–21 September 2025, you can take part in more than 35 different activities for teams and individuals at BUT. You can look forward to dragon boats, river descent, hiking, mountain biking, badminton, volleyball, five-a-side football, table tennis, TRX, pilates, yoga, bouldering, tabata, workout, tennis, disc golf, various forms of compensatory exercises, and measurements using modern technologies such as InBody, Diers, and more.
The challenge for everyone this year is once again the traditional BUT Mile – a 1,899-metre race with the chance to beat course records in both individual and relay categories.More information can be found on the CESA website.
Which faculty will show the greatest sporting spirit this year? Will more students or staff take part? Follow the news on the CESA website from 1 September, where you will also find a list of specific activities for registration. Registration will open on 1 September at 12:00.
