PerFEKT AtomDay: the world of nuclear energy up close

The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication at Brno University of Technology invites students and the general public to PerFEKT AtomDay, which will take place on October 15, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the building on Technická 12 in Brno. This unique one-day event offers a glimpse into the fascinating world of nuclear energy – from the latest technologies to the day-to-day operation of nuclear power plants.

Programme

  • An interactive exhibition of historical and modern dosimeters with the opportunity to try out measurements in practice.
  • Expert lectures by leading companies, research institutions, and state organizations.
  • Stands of industrial partners and networking opportunities.
  • A nuclear quiz with prizes.
The program includes four blocks of lectures devoted, among other things, to the construction of new nuclear sources in the Czech Republic, small modular reactors, deep storage of spent fuel, and the decommissioning of nuclear facilities. You will be able to discuss with experts from ČEZ, ŠKODA JS, ÚJV Řež, the Řež Research Center, and many others.

The event is intended for students of Brno University of Technology and other universities, as well as curious secondary school students who want to learn more about study and career opportunities in the field of nuclear energy.
