The aim of bachelor's degree branch Business Economics is to provide to candidates with completed secondary education an opportunity to study a bachelor's degree, during which students acquire theoretical and practical knowledges of business economics. Specifically, the basic theoretical knowledge of economics and business economics, as well as practical knowledge of accounting, taxes, corporate finance, management, marketing, and immediately related disciplines, as well as the knowledge and ability to apply the legislation which is necessary for carrying out business.

Expert knowledge of the graduate is primarily focused on economics and business economics, at the same time graduate has the knowledge neccessary for work with computers and is able to communicate in an international environment. Graduate of this branch also disposes of knowledges of business, marketing, process management, quality management, statistics and other mathematical methods.

A graduate of the study branch Business Economics is able to occupy lower management positions in the corporate sector and in the public administration. Graduates have an economic expertises and skills necessary for running their own business.
The graduate has gained sufficient theoretical basis for further study of master's degree programme.
