Issued topics of Doctoral Study Program
- Ethernet in Safety area
Formal description of the safety systems. Time relations evaluation and modeling in the safety systems. Safety system's time response improvement with preservation or improvement of the system safety level.
- Networked Control Systems
Modeling of time transfer parameters of the communication networks and analysis of their influence on performance of feed-back control systems. Analysis of the communication subsystem's stochastic parameters for evaluation of control quality and compensation of the time-domain disturbances. Assurance of stability in the networked control systems.
- Novel Methods of Sensorless Control of AC Electric Drives
This theme will deal with a design of control methods for sensorless speed control of AC electric drives focusing on ACI motors. Theoretical part will provide an analysis of sensorless control methods. The analysis will focus on new algorithms and their physical limits. An essential part of the thesis will be application focused. The new designed algorithms will be optimized in terms of implementation on microcontrollers and incorporation into the vector control structure. The thesis will be solved in cooperation with an industrial partner. It is expected to bring out a functional sample.
- Real-time in systems based on Ethernet communication standard
Time synchronization and real-time control of time critical dynamic systems utilizing Ethernet communication. Formal description and modeling of the Ethernet communication system time parameters. Development of methodology for time response improvement in the real-time dynamic control systems based on Ethernet communication.
