Profile

Students of materials engineering are given the unique possibility of mastering not only the relations between materials properties and manufacturing technology but also linkages between materials characteristics, materials physics, reliability and functionality of components and structures.
Subjects dealing with general fundamentals are followed by specialized instruction in which the student is made familiar with the relation between technological and useful properties of materials, and also with their structure with respect to the changes caused by their production and application
Attention is paid in particular to degradation processes, limit states of bodies and structures, prediction of service life, materials for special application, etc. The students get acquainted with progressive technological processes.
