Issued topics of Doctoral Study Program

  1. Architectural Heritage Conservation

The dissertation is focused on the architectural heritage conservation. The subject might be an analysis of a selected work or set of works, methodological critics, historiographical research or theoretical study connected to local or international legislation and conventions.

Tutor: Horáček Martin, doc. PhDr., Ph.D.

  2. Architecture as a means of creating a new model of collectivity

Tutor: Bartošová Nina, doc. Ing. arch., Ph.D.

  3. Cultural Heritage Conservation in Southeast Asia and Central Europe

The dissertation focuses on the analysis of parallels and differences in cultural heritage conservation in Central Europe and Southeast Asia, primarily in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Thailand. The subject of detailed research may be the analysis of standards of architectural and restoration interventions, as well as the field of professional training, management, current legislation and regulations, or their historical roots.

Tutor: Horáček Martin, doc. PhDr., Ph.D.

  4. Earth, Regenerative Design

Téma je součástí akreditovaného doktorského studijního programu v českém jazyce. The proposed research will examine how regenerative design can be defined by looking at methods of earth regeneration. Through critical reflection of case studies and current theoretical discourse, applications that reach beyond human-centered design practice will be analyzed.

Tutor: Ring Kristen, Dipl. Ing. arch.

  5. Enhancing Sustainable Architecture through Natural Composite Materials and Advanced 3D Printing Techniques

Natural composite materials, derived from renewable sources, have gained significant attention in recent years due to their potential to revolutionize sustainable construction practices. This Ph.D. theme aims to explore the integration of natural composite materials with advanced 3D printing technologies in architectural applications.

Tutor: Kaftan Martin, B.Arch., MSc, Ph.D.

  6. Mansions of South Moravia - potential and limits of use in the context of changes in ownership

The aim is to sort out the system and evaluate the current structure of mansions in a defined area (southern Moravia), an assessment of their current situation from different perspectives, with emphasis on the possibilities for their future use.

Tutor: Boháč Ivo, doc. Ing. arch., Ph.D.
