The master degree qualification in the branch of architecture or similar achieved at a higher-education institution in the Czech Republic or a school of architecture abroad. Efforts involving other professional disciplines to understand the complex processes is not enough. New trends applied in urban planning with a large share of participation of the population are called SMART CITIES. The current urban strategies and tactics of SMART CITIES are based on the principles of sustainability and have been already successfully applied in many European cities.
The space between buildings can influence the local ecological parameters, hygienic conditions, real estate prices and the way the people use the area. The aim of the dissertation thesis is to find the relations between the parameters of spaces between residential buildings and the quality of life. This quality influence the urban sustainability.

Pedestrian zones and their functional structure underwent in past through many different forms and functions. The task is to find and determine prerequisite for well functioning form of pedestrian zones appropriate to the city of today while foreseeing the future needs of city transportation.

Urban composition is the term commonly used in Czech urbanism theory. Urban Design is a term commonly used in English literature. Both terms overlap partially. The aim of the dissertation thesis is to define the content and possible application of both terms. One homogeneous theory applicable primarily in Czech urbanism theory and praxis should be the result of dissertation.
The main problems of suburbanization are related to the disruption of the environment around the city and the increase in transport costs of equipment in the urban agglomeration. The work should define principles to reduce the impact of the suburbanisation process in our cities.
