Profile

The goal of the study branch Economics and Process Management is to provide high school graduates with university education during which students acquire needed interdisciplinary theoretical knowledge and also practical skills. The branch Economics and Process Management is targeted at training experts in the area of economic, information and managerial activities in production management and technology management.
The branch deepens and enhances theoretical knowledge and experience in the field of new approaches to company management, among which are process management utilizing the "3S principle", team cooperation, change and quality management, costumer relationship management, value management etc. The graduates of this branch find fulfillment in management, in economic departments and in production management on the level of a company, a premise or a plant.
Successful graduates obtain the degree "Bachelor" (Bc).

Key learning outcomes

Graduates are equipped with the basic knowledge and skills in the field of management, economics and engineering technology. Graduate with this focus acquires basic knowledge in economics and management at the level needed for lower and middle management functions at production department - mainly at the level of the workshop and plant manager.

Occupational profiles of graduates with examples

Graduates can work in lower and middle management positions in engineering coporations in the production department management - mainly at the level of the workshop and plant manager. The graduate has gained sufficient theoretical basis for further study of master's degree programme.
