The bachelor thesis is dedicated to wireless sensor networks. The first part focuses on the wireless network components. Two basic hardware parts – sensor node and base station – are described there. The following topic speaks about the basic feature of this technology and software technology equipment for its use. The second part of this bachelor thesis is focused on the using wireless sensor network in industrial practise. Specific examples of the real deployment if this technology are shown there. The final part foreshadows the future direction of research in wireless sensor networks and assesses their potential for industrial use.
