This diploma thesis deals with technical-economic analysis of Brno’s incineration plant’s reconstruction. At the moment the old and technically obsolete conception of the incineration plant cannot practically and economically dispose of almost double the amount of city’s waste.
With the use of steam turbines which allow cogenerative production of electric energy and heat the incineration plant will modernise. It is essential to increase boiler parameters (pressure and temperature).
Modernisation and reconstruction have been projected in three different options. The first option presumes increase in steam performance of boilers with preserving steam admission parameters in boilers and existing technical solution of steam system. The next two options differ from each other with used steam turbine which is in one case purely backpressure turbine, and in the second case it is condensing steam turbine. Both these options are the same, but in comparison with the first one, they require increased steam admission parameters in boilers. 
All three technical projects have been analysed from technical, economic and ecological points of view. The best results were observed in case of the option with reconstruction and modernisation using condensing steam turbine.
