This thesis focuses on the evaluation of serious road accidents in the South Moravian region. We meet with the basic concepts in the theoretical part, which are related to methods that provide traffic safety on roads. Practical part of my thesis focuses on analysis of chosen places, where fatal accidents happened and it tries to indentify the influence of fixed parameters of road network and its development. It also gives the draft of suitable traffic measures which will result in increasing of safety on the investigated places.
