Abstract:

The theme of this bachelor thesis is a familiarization with biologically decomposable waste and its processing in composting plants. The theme was chosen on the basis of an alarming EU Council Directive 1999/31/EC of 26 April 1999 on the landfill of waste on dumps in the Czech Republic.
Eventualities of domestic, community and central composting are offered in this thesis. The exact processing of the biological waste during composting, the technology of the process and the further use of compost is defined here. The practical part of this paper maps composting plants in the Pardubice region.
