Abstract:

Suitable road surface properties are essential for ensuring safe and smooth traffic flow on roads. These properties are defined by so-called variable parameters, i.e., parameters that change over time due to traffic load, climatic changes, etc. As part of the doctoral thesis, cyclic measurements of surface parameters were performed on selected wearing courses. The results of the research contributed to the development of a methodology that deals with the principles for the use of road wearing courses in terms of skid resistance properties. This methodology was developed as part of the Czech Technology Agency project No. CK01000110 and replaced the original methodological guideline from 2006. The variable parameters influence each other; the texture of the road surface (microtexture and macrotexture) influences skid resistance properties, etc. As part of the doctoral thesis, the interrelationships between the individual variable parameters were analysed with the aim of finding possible conversion relationships.

Obhajoba disertační práce proběhla na vysoké odborné úrovni. Doktorand vystoupil s přehlednou a logicky členěnou prezentací. Prokázal komplexní znalost řešené problematiky. Na dotazy odpovídal srozumitelně, pohotově a přesvědčivě.
