This master’s thesis focuses on the design of a selected part of an information system in the form of an ordering process. The thesis deals with the redesign of this process using UX/UI design principles, with the aim of improving its performance, clarity and connection to the company’s internal processes. The theoretical part defines the key concepts related to information systems, business processes, the ordering process and user interface design. It also describes the impact of UX/UI design on input data quality, user flow and the overall efficiency of an information system. The analytical part examines the current state of the ordering process in the selected company. Based on the analysis, several problematic areas are identified, especially the inconsistent behaviour of different ordering scenarios, higher process complexity and the risk of incomplete or incorrect data. The design part presents a unified ordering process based on a common process framework and a component-based approach to user interface design. The proposed solution includes user login or registration, order configuration, selection of delivery and payment methods, entering contact details and final order review. The thesis also defines the expected benefits of the proposed solution and metrics that can be used to evaluate its impact in the future. The result of the thesis is a proposed solution with the potential to improve user orientation within the ordering process, increase the quality of input data, reduce the number of manual interventions and support a higher order completion rate.
