This master thesis focuses on the multiphysics analysis of short-circuit forces acting on the winding of a distribution transformer. The theoretical part provides a state-of-art review of transformer design configurations, a description of manufacturing technologies, and normative requirements for short-circuit withstand capability according to the standard EN 60076-5 ed. 2. In the practical part, a 3D model of a transformer with a rated power of 630 kVA with an oval shape windings was developed within the Ansys Maxwell environment. A transient electromagnetic field analysis using Finite Element Method was performed on this model to evaluate the dynamic radial forces. The simulation was specifically configured so that the peak surge short-circuit current affects the outer phase and subsequently the middle phase, enabling a detailed comparison of the maximum force effects in both configurations. To significantly reduce computation time, the calculation was optimized using a segment model. The obtained electromagnetic field data were subsequently transferred via a one-way multiphysics coupling to a structural solver within the integrated Ansys Workbench environment. The subsequent structural analysis served to evaluate the maximum equivalent stress acting on the outer winding. Based on this methodology, the design of the proposed transformer was assessed in terms of mechanical resilience and compliance with strength criteria relative to the material's yield strength.

Student prezentoval diplomovou práci na téma Vyhodnocení mechanické odolnosti vinutí transformátoru během zkratové zkoušky. Student shrnul hlavní cíle práce. Popsal výrobu transformátoru a vytvoření daného 3D modelu. Například popsal nastavení tranzientní analýzy. Následně uvedl rozdíly ve výsledných silách a popsal výsledky efektivního modelu. Dalším bodem prezentace bylo popsání mechanické analýzy modelu. Student odpovídá na otázky oponenta. Student také odpovídá na otázky komise.
