This thesis focuses on improving a semiconductor relay for connecting battery banks in photovoltaic systems, specifically by reducing switching losses through the use of an additional flash-triggering circuit integrated into the developed version of the disconnector. The main focus was on accelerating the switching and disconnection times of the electronic semiconductor switch for power switching in battery systems, which is intended to replace the commonly used electromagnetic contactor. This switch was developed in a previous project. The introduction presents the challenges of connecting battery modules in the field of photovoltaic power plants, followed by a description of the original solution using the GIGAVAC GX23 power contactor and SSR switch from the previous project, along with a description of MCB technology. This is followed by a presentation of the switch sizing and a description of the specific technical solution, including calculations of switching energy, line losses, and the thermal resistance of the heat sink. Next comes a functional verification of the experimental version 1 of the disconnector and an introduction to the innovative solution, which includes the design and simulation of a new circuit to accelerate switching processes. This section is followed by a chapter containing the design and testing of the developed fast-switching circuit, followed by a verification of the functionality of the version 2 switch. The conclusion of the thesis summarizes the findings from the design and possible extensions of the final product. The text is divided into ten chapters; the first chapter describes the challenges of connecting battery modules in photovoltaic power plants, the second chapter addresses the challenges of connecting battery banks, and the third chapter describes MCB technology. The fourth chapter describes switch sizing, the fifth chapter presents a specific switch solution, and the sixth chapter verifies the functionality of the experimental version of the disconnector (version 1). The seventh chapter describes an innovation in the disconnector to ensure instantaneous switching on and off of the SSR; the eighth chapter focuses on a specific solution for the fast-switching circuit; the ninth chapter describes the functional verification of switch version 2; and the final chapter presents a summary of findings and possibilities for further development of the SSR contactor.

Student seznámil komisi se zadáním a aplikací svého produktu včetně netradičních obvodových prvků, které použil ve svém designu. Dále vysvětlil princip funkce spínače z minulé práce a doplnil o to co inovoval v současné práci. Na závěr vysvětlil princip funkce poslední verze urychlovacího obvodu, ukázal výstupy z finálního výrobku. Student odpověděl na otázky oponenta. Student dostal doplňující otázku vysvětlit princip funkce proud omezující diody.
