This thesis focuses on the design, construction, and testing of a device for recycling PET bottles into filament for 3D FDM printing. The introductory section presents commonly used materials, with an emphasis on PET and PETG. The thesis further examines the issue of PET product recycling and analyzes existing devices for production of filament from PET. The development process included the creation of a 3D model in SolidWorks and the following construction of a prototype. Custom firmware was developed in C/C++ to operate the device. Practical testing and calibration demonstrated the device’s functionality. The filament produced from recycled material with the desired diameter could later be successfully printed using a fine-tuned print profile.

Student seznámil státní zkušební komisi s cíli a řešením závěrečné vysokoškolské práce a zodpověděl otázky a připomínky oponenta a komise. Otázky komise k obhajobě: 1. Napadá vás nějaká další metoda diagnostiky homogenity dutosti filamentu? 2. Jaké jsou další koncepty přípravy materiálu PET a PETG do formy tiskové struny pro 3D tisk? 3. Jaký vliv mají nerovnosti stěny lahví na výslednou dutost filamentu po jeho výrobě?
