This thesis deals with computational fluid dynamics simulations (CFD). The first part describes the basic mechanisms of heat transfer, shows the connection between thermal and electrical quantities. The second part describes the basic relationships related to fluid flow and hydromechanics. The third part outlines the principle of operation of CFD and other essentials related to numerical flow modeling. The next part shows some exact solutions of the Navier-Stokes equation and these solutions are compared with CFD simulations. The fifth part deals with the analytical solution of flow in a Venturi tube, Venturi tube networks are created and described in more detail by individual methods. The results of CFD simulations are compared with the analytical solution. The sixth part describes the simulation of a water-cooled frame of an electrical machine, which serves to verify the functionality of the simulation. The simulation is verified by analytical calculation. In the last chapter, a model of an asynchronous high-speed machine was created, a thermal simulation of water cooling was performed. Furthermore, a hydraulic simulation of the internal air was performed. A thermal analysis of the entire machine was also performed.

Student prezentoval diplomovou práci na téma Analýza elektrického stroje pomocí výpočetní dynamiky tekutin. Student představil Venturiho trubici a její následnou simulaci a výsledky. Následně student popsal použitou kostru asynchronního stroje, kde uvedl i nastavené okrajové podmínky. Následně byla popsána hydraulická simulace a její okrajové podmínky a výsledky. Student následně prezentoval kompletní model ASM a jeho nastavení simulace. Student odpověděl na otázky oponenta. Student odpověděl na otázky komise s lehkým zaváháním.
