This bachelor’s thesis deals with the design of a software model for electrical energy storage, focusing on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and their economic operation. The theoretical part covers an overview of energy storage technologies, primarily electrochemical accumulators, the legislative framework including the most important changes introduced by the Lex OZE III amendment, which defines a standalone battery storage system as a new licensed category, and economic indicators in the form of LCOS, NPV and IRR. The practical part describes the implementation of a model with a graphical user interface as a simulation of battery storage operation in two scenarios – pure energy arbitrage and a combination of arbitrage with ancillary balancing services, with the model tested on real market data from ENTSO-E and OTE-CR sources. The results showed that combining arbitrage with ancillary services ignificantly improves the economic performance of the project compared to a standalone arbitrage strategy.

Student seznámil zkušební komisi s výsledky své bakalářské práce na téma Návrh softwarového modelu akumulace elektrické energie. Následně vedoucí práce Ing. Lukáš Radil, Ph.D. seznámili komisi s posudkem vedoucího i oponenta bakalářské práce. Student následně zodpověděl otázku oponenta s mírnou dopomocí vedoucího práce. Doc. Topolánek položil doplňující otázku týkající se arbitráže a navrženého software. Student reagoval na otázku správně.
