This bachelor's thesis deals with the design and implementation of a laser diode driver for driving the COHERENT D4F8S22-638.3-375Q-IS45.6M5 laser diode intended to use in newely developed alexandrite laser. The main objective is to study the theoretical principles of continuous and pulsed current sources, analyse the possibilities of their implementation for nonlinear loads, and design a driver meeting the requirements for high current, fast transient response, and stability. The proposed circuit enables current regulation up to 15 A in continuous mode and up to 25 A in pulsed mode with a repetition rate of up to 10 kHz and a pulse width of 100–300 μs. Furthermore, both rise and fall times shorter than 40 μs are required. The thesis includes the design of the power stage, control electronics, and protection circuits, followed by prototype implementation and measurement of the achieved parameters. The final part evaluates the functionality of the with respect to the stability of generated pulses.

Studentka prezentovala výsledky své práce a komise byla seznámena s posudky. Prof. Augustynek položil otázku: můžete vysvětlit, jak funguje zátěž? Jak jste prováděla měření? Studentka obhájila bakalářskou práci a odpověděla na otázky členů komise a oponenta.
