This thesis addresses the enhancement of reliability and operational flexibility in distribution networks during their transition from radial to looped configurations, a fundamental requirement for smart grid development. A key focus is the concept of fast network de-looping, which enables rapid topology reconfiguration under fault conditions. The research evaluates protection schemes, specifically directional overcurrent and differential protection, emphasizing their selective coordination in meshed structures. Extensive analysis is dedicated to protection communication, comparing proprietary channels with IEC 61850 standards (GOOSE and Sampled Values) while assessing the impact of transmission latency. The influence of distributed generation on fault current levels is treated as a secondary factor impacting protection selectivity. The resulting functional protection logic, validated through simulation, provides a robust, immediately implementable solution for real-world distribution network operations.

Student seznámil zkušební komisi s výsledky své diplomové práce na téma Zhodnocení metod rychlého odkruhování distribučních sítí. Následně vedoucí práce Ing. Jurák a oponent doc. Topolánek přečetli své posudky. Student odpovídal na dotazy plynoucí z posudků, s drobnými výhradami oponenta. Doplňující dotaz ohledně rozdílové ochrany položila doc. Orságová. Student na tento dotaz uspokojivě odpověděl.
