This thesis examines comprehensive methods for measuring light pollution, with a focus on the spatial characteristics of lighting and their quantification using integral light field characteristics. The thesis assesses the impact of artificial nighttime lighting on living organisms through photopic and melanopic quantities defined by the CIE S 026/E:2018 standard and uses the ALAN score methodology as an objective framework for comparing measured locations. The thesis includes a description of the U500 and G-index methodologies for the spectral characterization of light sources and the procedure for capturing and processing panoramic HDR images using the LDA-LumiDISP luminance analyzer. Field measurements were conducted at sixteen locations in Brno and in the village of Mokrá–Horákov. The results show that the level of light pollution is significantly influenced primarily by local light sources and their spectral composition, which has a fundamental impact on the melanopic load of the surrounding environment. The study also presents and validates algorithms for panorama stitching and rotation, which refine the processing of spatial photometric data and provide more consistent results. The output is a comprehensive methodology for measuring and analyzing light pollution that can be used for further research and for optimizing public lighting.

Student seznámil komisi s výsledky své diplomové práce. S posudky seznámili komisi vedoucí práce doc. Baxant a oponent Ing. Novák. Vedoucí práce hodnotil stupněm A s 93 b. Oponent hodnotil stupněm A s 99 b. Následnou rozpravu zahájil Ing. Novák položením otázek oponenta. Doplňující dotaz položil Dr. Bátora na způsoby nočního ostření fotoaparátu, na způsob skládání panoramatu a způsob hledání severu v městské zástavbě. Další dotaz položil Dr. Krbal na srovnání rozptylu světla LED zdrojů a vysokotlakých sodíkových výbojek v mlze a smogu. Student na dotazy bez výhrad odpověděl.
