This thesis describes the design of an easily expandable, customizable, and secure ecosystem for use in smart homes, capable of connecting both existing and new sensors and control devices. The theoretical section discusses commonly used solutions such as Loxone, the KNX standard, voice assistants, and open-source platforms used to implement modern smart homes. The local wireless communication protocols BLE, Zigbee, and ESP-NOW are described in detail, as well as the MQTT and HTTP protocols used in the application layer. Based on the theoretical analysis, a design was created and a prototype architecture was implemented using the ESP-NOW protocol at the lowest layer of end devices. Furthermore, MQTT is used for data transmission from the local control unit to the master system, and HTTPS is used for remote access via a mobile application, implemented through the master system. The entire ecosystem is designed with an emphasis on security and potential threats, which are described using the STRIDE method.

Student obhájil diplomovou práci s výhradami. V rámci obhajoby dokázal přesvědčit komisi o správnosti svých postupů a navrženého řešení. V průběhu odborné rozpravy reagoval na dotazy: Na jakou částku vychází Vámi navrhované řešení? V čem je přidaná hodnota Vašeho řešení. Provedl jste analýzu, zda má toto řešení potenciál z hlediska využití baterií?
