This thesis addresses the issue of detecting the health status of the veiled chameleon. The goal was to design, implement and verify a demonstration task of visually detecting diseases and injuries manifested by skin changes whilst making no direct contact with the animal. The proposed solution utilized deep machine learning methods, particularly the PatchCore anomaly detection algorithm, whose output anomaly score was adjusted using Minkowski distance to achieve the best possible results. A series of experiments was conducted on the created dataset of local image croppings and segmented torsos. During the validation of the model trained for the detection of nodular formations, an AUC ROC = 0,949 value was measured.
