This Master's thesis focuses on the development of an automated battery testing system using the Python programming language. The main objective was to create a software solution with a modular architecture that automates the control of measuring instruments, data acquisition, and enables the generation of measurement reports. The implemented solution enables easy extension to support additional devices, which was achieved by implementing a layer of driver libraries for various types of measuring instruments. The thesis also includes a system design based on a review of existing battery testing systems, an analysis of available instrumentation, and standard battery testing methods. The thesis also analyzes the measurement uncertainties of battery capacity using the Monte Carlo method to verify the accuracy of the proposed system. The conducted tests confirm the ability of the resulting application to perform automated battery testing with variable test parameter settings.
