This bachelor’s thesis deals with time synchronization between STM32 Nucleo-F767ZI development boards using the IEEE~1588 Precision Time Protocol. It compares basic time synchronization methods, describes the principles of PTP, and evaluates Ethernet communication options on the STM32 platform. Based on this analysis, firmware was designed and implemented using direct transmission of PTP messages in Ethernet frames and hardware timestamps from the Ethernet MAC. The functionality of the solution was verified in a direct connection, in a multi-slave topology through a standard Ethernet switch, and under additional network load. The thesis also theoretically evaluates the possibility of using Single Pair Ethernet as a physical layer for transmitting PTP messages.

Student obhájil bakalářskou práci. Komise neměla žádné námitky k řešené práci. V průběhu odborné rozpravy student odpověděl na dotazy oponenta a dále na dotazy z komise ohledně toho, jak testoval přesnost časové synchronizace více zařízení. Dále popsal, jaké síťové prvky používal.
