The goal of this thesis is modification of a robotic manipulator, which is mounted on a competition rover of the Brno Mars Rover student team, for more effective fufillment of competition tasks of the European Rover Challenge competition. Mathematical descrip- tion of the kinematic structure is made in URDF format for efficient integration into ROS2 environment. Furthermore, the thesis covers analysis of present motor drivers and comparison with alternatives. The next part covers analysis of methods for mea- suring absolute angle and communication interfaces of sensors. Based on this analysis a magnetic encoder was chosen as the desired method and a comparison of three possible modules is made. Due to requirements the option of creating a custom PCB is chosen. The function of the created PCB is tested and integration into the manipulator follows. The thesis ends with modifications to the control software that extends the capabilities, adding velocity inverse kinematics and control of the end effector and movement to predefined poses

Student obhájil bakalářskou práci. Komise neměla žádné námitky k řešené práci. V průběhu odborné rozpravy student reagoval na dotazy oponenta. Dále zodpověděl dotazy týkající se rozdílu v rozlišení použitých čipů a jejich vlastností, způsobu realizace regulace u poziční zpětné vazby, řešení přímé úlohy kinematiky a dosažitelnosti všech poloh.
