Master's thesis deals with the control of a flywheel-stabilized balancing cube of the Cubli type. Existing methods for jump-up and subsequently stabilizing the cube are briefly analyzed. Requirements for jump-up and stabilization are then derived. Control system leading to the stabilization of the cube on its edge, including the stopping of the reaction wheel, is successfully proposed. Control system leading to the stabilization of the cube on its corner is successfully proposed, and the control of the angular velocity of the reaction wheels is proposed with partial results. The stabilization of the cube is simulated in MATLAB and Simulink.
