This diploma thesis deals with the design and implementation of an experimental light source intended for use in chromatic pupillometry and other optophysiological measurements. The thesis focuses on the driving of high-power LEDs, the possibility of their control using analog current modulation and the design of a system capable of generating reproducible light stimuli synchronized with an external device. Within the thesis, a~functional prototype of a microcontroller-based device was designed and implemented. The power stage of the device is based on a linear constant-current source regulator and discrete current adjustment by relay-switched resistor branches. The device allows adjustment of light stimulation parameters and synchronization with external devices using synchronization outputs. The thesis also includes the design of the control software and experimental verification of the device functionality. The measurement results confirmed the correct operation of the power stage, correct timing of light stimuli and proper synchronization of the trigger output. The proposed device enables the implementation of custom light stimulation protocols for future research and experimental applications.
