The thesis deals with the description of electrochemical measurements from the perspective of measurement electronics development. Various types of electrochemical measurements are described, and the work is focused on potentiostatic electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The differences between conventional impedance analysis and potentiostatic impedance analysis are explained, and an instrument for performing EIS analysis is designed and constructed. The analog interface circuitry required the use of a special current-to-voltage converter with different gains for direct and alternating currents, utilizing a synthetic inductor with a value of 176 H.
