This bachelor thesis deals with the measurement of dielectric properties of printed circuit board substrates (relative permittivity and loss tangent) in the microwave frequency band. The aim is the design, realization, and experimental comparison of the resonance method and the two-line method. Microstrip resonators and test lines were designed and simulated in HFSS software and subsequently physically manufactured on five different dielectric materials. Data obtained from a vector network analyzer were evaluated using custom MATLAB scripts. The results confirm the high accuracy of the ring resonator for permittivity determination while highlighting the physical limits of both methods in measuring low losses due to impedance mismatch. The main practical output of the thesis is the design of a comprehensive laboratory exercise intended for teaching microwave measurement techniques.
