This bachelor’s thesis deals with geomagnetic field mapping and the detection of magnetic anomalies, with a focus on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles for detecting metallic objects and unexploded ordnance. The thesis includes an overview of selected types of magnetometers, a survey of sensors suitable for use on unmanned aerial vehicles, and an analysis of related studies. For the practical part, the optically pumped QuSpin QTFM (Quantum Total Field Magnetometer) Gen-2 magnetometer was selected and integrated into the DJI Matrice 600 platform. The thesis describes ground-based and flight-based experimental measurements, processing of measured data, and their visualization. The results confirmed that the proposed measurement setup is capable of detecting more significant magnetic anomalies caused by ferromagnetic objects, while the sensor height above the terrain, flight stability, and accuracy of spatial data assignment have a major influence on detection quality.
