This thesis pertains to the development and design of a LoRaWAN Class-B beacon receiver. The goal was to create a device using a LoRa-E5 module capable of 1PPS output signal generation based on the time stamps obtained from received packets and also to decode and display the time information on an OLED screen. For realization, a custom printed circuit board was designed serving as a prototype for testing, measurement, and demonstration. 1PPS output signal generation is achieved by averaging the period measured between received beacons and compensating for the offset between expected and received time. It was found that LoRaWAN beacons could be used as time synchronization for the PPS signal generation due to their minimal delay. However, the configuration with the LoRa-E5 module without an extern high-quality oscillator seems suitable only for devices with lower accuracy requirements.
