The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to design a suitable concept of a Gaussian pulse generator with respect to the width and shape of the generated pulse. The thesis focuses on a theoretical analysis of available conceptual solutions and their comparative evaluation. Prior to the actual circuit design, simulations and parameter optimization are performed in the PSpice simulation environment. The outcome of this work is a schematic circuit design whose functionality is verified by simulation analyses and which is prepared for subsequent physical implementation and experimental measurement.
Ultra-Wideband, monocycle pulse generator, step recovery diode, monocykle forming network, Gaussian impulse (pulse), PSPICE, OrCAD, printed circuit board
