This bachelor thesis deals with the comprehensive design, simulation, and physical realization of a reflector dipole antenna for the Secondary Surveillance Radar (SSR) system operating in the 1030 and 1090 MHz band. The aim of the thesis is to create a functional antenna system meeting strict requirements for impedance matching and directivity. The designed antenna utilizes a broadband dipole principle with metal arms, driven by aperture coupling with an integrated microstrip balun on an IS400 substrate. The structure is supplemented by an aluminum rod reflector to suppress back radiation and a 3D-printed ABS dielectric radome for environmental protection. The design and optimization were performed in CST Studio Suite, with the real dielectric properties of the radome material experimentally verified using the waveguide NRW method. The physical prototype of the antenna was subsequently measured in an anechoic chamber. The obtained results confirm high agreement with the simulations; the real model achieves a reflection coefficient better than -15.3 dB and a realized gain exceeding 7 dBi across the entire operating band, with a beamwidth of 78° to 86° in the azimuthal plane.
