This bachelor's thesis deals with the design and realization of an active audio crossover for home theater systems with the possibility of electronic control of its parameters. The introduction summarizes the theoretical foundations in the field of audio spectrum division, its reproduction, and describes suitable approximation functions of frequency filters for use in audio technology. The main part of the thesis is dedicated to the description of known biquadratic structures using various types of operational amplifiers, from which OTA-C structures utilizing operational transconductance amplifiers (OTA) are selected for the realization. Based on the theoretical analysis, a specific circuit design of the prototype is proposed, including the selection of components and the development of a software solution for the control microcontroller. The correctness of the proposed solution is verified through simulation techniques and subsequently validated by experimental measurements on the fabricated hardware prototype. In the conclusion of the thesis, an evaluation and comparison of the measured results with simulations is presented, along with a discussion of possible improvements.
