This diploma thesis addresses the transformation of a large-scale industrial area located south of the railway station in Znojmo. The primary challenge of the site is its gradual depreciation and the prevalence of strictly functional activities, which are not supported by adequate public space. The objective is to propose an urban strategy that coordinates the conversion of the area into a vibrant urban district while respecting currently operating businesses. The proposed strategy aims to provide the city with a new impulse for development within the existing urban fabric, resulting in a compact, diverse, and attractive environment that dismantles the barrier between the industrial zone and urban life.
