This project represents an architectural design of a contemporary elementary school, which reflects the vision of current trends in architecture and construction, which is aimed at ecological sustainability through the use of appropriate materials and low energy consumption. The design also strives to create an inspiring environment for its users and the surrounding area, which will become a natural part of its environment. The concept also pays attention to the topic of modern teaching methods, which offers alternative solutions in the education of students. Current social ambitions and growing demands on public buildings in all respects create a new challenge for architects, also due to the limited financial resources of state institutions. The aim of this work is therefore to find a balance between high-quality architectural expression, environmental responsibility and economic adequacy, while at the same time offering functional operation of this institution. The specific assignment for this design is taken from the official architectural competition of the Czech Chamber of Architects "Základní škola záhoří". The result is a passive school building built of a prefabricated reinforced concrete skeleton with wooden partitions and a wooden lightweight outer shell with modern technologies for the use of rainwater and minimizing energy consumption. The school premises offer a unique environment through several atriums, which bring natural light into the interior. In addition to standard classroom teaching, the interior offers open variable spaces for alternative teaching and relaxation during breaks. The sophisticated program provides the necessary operation of the institution according to the assignment.

Odpovědi na otázky oponenta: - Bezpečnostní prvky student uvažuje bezpečnostní zábradlí z nerezové sítě a další bezpečnostní prvky. - Student demonstruje na půdorysech, jakým způsobem jsou navržené jednotlivé provozy a pístupy na střešní krajny. - Student zvolil konstrukční modulové řešení, které umožňuje variabilně rozšíření nebo zmenšení. Připomínky a otázky komise: 1. Pan architekt Marek oceňuje koncepční přístup, interiérové řešení i sociální provozní řešení jak schodiště i pobytová místa. 2. Student dovysvětluje prostorové řešení tělocvičen. 3. Pan docent Hrubý se ptá, co znamená lidské měřítko pro fasádu - student použil slovní spojení pro vysvětlení členění fasády.
