This diploma thesis focuses on the design of a heat exchanger station model, the identification of its parameters, and its operational deployment in the form of a digital shadow. The theoretical part describes the methods and possibilities for modeling industrial systems and the physical model of a heat exchanger station. The practical part includes a description of the control, data acquisition, and the design of the model, which was implemented using two different approaches: analytical modeling (Grey-box) and data-driven modeling (Black-box) utilizing LSTM-type recurrent neural networks. The key contribution of the thesis is a comparison of both approaches based on the RMSE and Model Efficiency (R^2) metrics. The results demonstrate a significant dominance of data-driven modeling (LSTM), which, compared to analytical methods, was able to effectively compensate for systematic errors arising from the fixed structure of Grey-box modeling. The final part of the thesis is devoted to the implementation of the resulting models into a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) environment and their subsequent verification on new scenarios.
