This thesis presents research on the impact of temperature on passive optical components and a description of the developed prototype of a temperature stabilization device. The theoretical section describes individual passive optical components, their properties, and the theoretical effect of temperature on their performance. The thesis also outlines the theoretical measurement procedure, followed by a practical section documenting the actual laboratory measurements. The components tested included an optical isolator, an attenuator, an optical splitter, a circulator, and a DWDM filter. The practical section of the thesis includes a description of the construction of an analog temperature chamber, the individual components of which it is composed, and the laboratory tests that were performed using the temperature chamber. The practical section also describes how to utilize the modularity of the temperature chamber to eliminate the effects of unwanted vibrations. The thesis includes instructions for using the temperature chamber. The recorded values are presented in tables and graphs, and conclusions are drawn from the laboratory measurements performed.

Student prezentoval výsledky své práce a komise byla seznámena s posudky. Student obhájil diplomovou práci a odpověděl na otázky členů komise a oponenta. U WDM filtrů uvádíte teplotní posun spektra. Jaký by byl dopad tohoto jevu na funkci DWDM systémů v reálné síti a jak se v praxi řeší? Jakým způsobem byla zajištěna opakovatelnost měření a prováděl jste více měření pro statistické vyhodnocení? Student dostatečně vysvětlil otázky.
