This thesis addresses Packet Loss Concealment (PLC) methods for musical signals in Networked Music Performance applications. The fundamental principles of PLC algorithms, available datasets, and metrics for evaluating reconstruction quality are presented. An autoregressive prediction model is proposed, employing the Levinson–Durbin algorithm with optimizations for real-time processing. The autoregressive model achieves usable reconstruction quality at low computational cost, particularly when compared to simple PLC methods. Furthermore, two hybrid residual models inspired by PARCnet are proposed: AR-SSM, based on State Space Models with modified S4D blocks, and AR-GCRN, which combines a convolutional encoder/decoder structure with a recurrent bottleneck operating on frequency-domain features. The AR-SSM model is not investigated further, as it fails to meet the real-time processing requirements. Both models are evaluated on the Medley-solos-DB dataset using time-domain, spectral, and psychoacoustic metrics, and compared against the PARCnet reference model. The results show that the proposed AR-GCRN model achieves performance comparable to the reference model, surpasses it in spectral and psychoacoustic metrics, and meets the specified requirements for real-time inference.
