The nuclear fuel cycle is an integral part of nuclear power. The first part of this thesis examines the fuel cycle in greater detail. It also describes fuel systems and the cooling system for spent nuclear fuel. The next section discusses the generation of decay heat in nuclear fuel and the processes that occur within the fuel during its time in the reactor core and after its discharge. The final part of the thesis describes the development of a numerical model of a spent fuel storage pool, along with the simulation calculations and the obtained results.

Student odprezentoval obsah své bakalářské práce. Otázky oponenta byly zodpovězeny. V průběhu obhajoby byly položeny tyto doplňující otázky: ak byste změnil a upravil váš model pro šestihrannou symetrii? Jakou kapalinu jste měli v modelu, stlačitelnou nebo nestlačitelnou? Jaký model turbulence jste použil? Je geometrie bazénu reálná?
