The aim of the diploma thesis is the revitalization design of the Brno–Medlánky airport area with a focus on a gallery of sport aviation. Besides the gallery itself, an important topic of the thesis is also the functional, architectural and urban organization of the entire area without disrupting the current operation of the airport and the businesses located within the site. The result of these requirements is an urban design proposal for the Medlánky airport area, including the revitalization of selected existing buildings, mainly the aeroclub operational building and the aircraft manufacturing facility, the design of new buildings replacing the current fragmented development, and finally the proposal of a gallery – a hangar for gliders. The design not only serves as a unifying element of the entire area, but also aims to increase its attractiveness, popularity and accessibility for the wider public. The main idea of the proposal is the “blending” of new architecture with the existing buildings, the surrounding landscape and the atmosphere of the place while preserving the authentic character of the airport and its open landscape environment. An important theme of the design is therefore the relationship and interaction between the newly proposed gallery and the existing buildings, which together create the characteristic genius loci of the area.

V úvodu přednesla územní kontext návrhu a seznámila komisi s historií území. Předvedla zdroje inspirace a detailní analýzu místa návrhu. V samotném návrhu velmi přehledně odprezentovala a charakterizovala stávající a návrhový stav - a to v rozsahu istuačních výkresů, hmotového řešení, půdorysů, řezů a pohledů. Dále předvedla velice detailně konstrukční řešení návrhu. Uvedla i vizualizace navrženého objektu a detailní úpravy dalších objektů včetně architektonického detailu. Promítla i videosekvenci návrhu. Dáel reagovala na zmínku konstrukčního a materiálového řešení a povrchových úprav. Popsala detailně navržerná řešení, ke konstrukci uvedla i zohlednění výpočtů. Protipožární řešení popsala možnosti řešení pomocí nátěrů a výskyt EPS a odolnosti jednotlivých materiálů. V diskuzi bylo řešeno zastínění - užití pevného, posuvného - rolet atp. Dále byla diskuze vedena nad profilací konstrukčních prvků navrženého objektu. Řešeny byly i povrchové úpravy vybraných materiálů a možnosti užití solárních panelů - jež by ovlivnily architektonický výraz. Studentka s velmi dobrým přehledem zaujímala odborná stanoviska ke všem připomínkám oponenta a velmi dobře reagovala i na všechny otázky členů komise, které byly k obhajované práci položeny.
