The bachelor's thesis deals with the design of a replacement for an existing unsatisfactory bridge. The documents for the design, i.e. the site plan and the geotechnical conditions, were obtained from publicly available sources and through an on-site inspection of the locality. Within the thesis, two to three alternative studies of the loadbearing structure are elaborated and subsequently mutually compared. For the selected variant, a detailed structural analysis of the monolithic load-bearing structure made of prestressed concrete is carried out according to the limit states in accordance with the applicable standards. The cross-sectional arrangement of the road being carried is designed in accordance with current regulations, and the length of the bridge takes into account the need to span the inundation area of the river while striving to minimise the construction height. The substructure, foundations, bearings and bridge expansion joints are designed only structurally, without a detailed calculation. The output of the thesis includes drawing documentation comprising general arrangement drawings, reinforcement drawings of the calculated parts of the structure and aselected structural detail.
