On the route of the I/33 road relocation near Náchod, there is a cut that requires permanent stabilization due to limited spatial conditions. Based on geotechnical data, a calculation model was developed and an unanchored pile wall was designed. The structure was assessed in terms of serviceability, bearing capacity and overall stability. The final solution is supplemented by structural calculations and a typical cross-section.

Student David Fábera obhajoval bakalářskou práci na téma "Návrh trvalého zajištění zářezu na silnici 1/33 u Náchoda". Po prezentaci práce a přednesení posudků vedoucího práce a oponenta reagoval student na jejich dotazy a připomínky. Poté odpovídal na tyto dotazy předsedy a členů zkušební komise: Jak posuzoval autor stabilitu svahu? Jak dospěl autor k hodnotě koheze u dané horniny? Jakou trvanlivost předpokládá u navrhované konstrukce? Jak nazýváme výztužné na smyk? V rámci obhajoby BP odpovídal student výborně.
