Abstract:

This bachelor thesis presents a feasibility study of a shared path for pedestrians and cyclists connecting the town of Letovice with the recreational area of the Letovice reservoir. The primary objective is to enhance traffic safety by separating non-motorized traffic from motorized traffic on the existing road II/365. The introductory part analyzes local traffic accident rates using the Transport Research Centre database. The main body focuses on the geometric and structural design of the alignment, compliant with national standards and technical conditions. The final path features a uniform width and a flexible asphalt pavement structure.
