Abstract:

This Bachelor's thesis deals with the possibility of using mechanical activation of coarse bottom ashes in order to enhance their pozzolanic activity. The theoretical section describes the properties and the potential use of fly ashes in concrete, as well as the methods of modifying bottom ashes through mechanical activation. The objective of the practical section of this Bachelor's thesis is to determine the properties of ground bottom ashes and to make a suggestion of an optimal combination of their mixtures in order to verify the feasibility of utilizing these energy by-products as type II active admixtures.

Student představil komisi formou prezentace svoji bakalářskou práci a reagoval na připomínky a dotazy od oponenta vyjádřené v oponentském posudku i na otázky členů komise. Během obhajoby položili členové komise následující otázky: Ing. Aleš Jakubík, Ph.D. – Nebudou popílky nějak kontaminované u deponií? Ing. Pavla Matulová, Ph.D. – Pokud by klesla cena cementu je Vaše práce ještě výhodná? prof. Ing. Rostislav Drochytka, CSc., MBA, dr.h.c. – Kde je tolik fluidního popílku? Je legislativa použití deponovaných popílků? prof. Ing. Karel Dvořák, Ph.D. - Oceňuji teoretický předpoklad složení směsí v práci. Student výborně reagoval a zaujímal svoje stanovisko ke všem připomínkám k předložené BP od oponenta i členů komise.
